‘Naagzilla’: Ravi Kishan joins Kartik Aaryan’s fantasy flick as the villain, per reports. No official word yet, but he’s excited for shooting. Backed by Karan Johar, the film blends folklore and fun, eyeing August 14 release—though delays loom as production continues. First look dropped April 2025.

Ravi Kishan has joined the cast of Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming movie, ‘Naagzilla’. A recent report reveals that the actor-turned-politician will portray the villain in the film. Though no official announcement has come from the actor or the makers, the report notes that Kishan is excited to start shooting.

Perfect fit for villain role

According to Bollywood Hungama, Kartik’s character is important and so is that of the villain in the story. The makers realised that Ravi Kishan fits the bill perfectly. He has always been a fine actor and has proved his worth in recent times with his performances in ‘Laapataa Ladies’ (2024), ‘Mamla Legal Hai’ (2024), ‘Son Of Sardaar 2’ (2025) etc. Ravi was quite excited to come on board this unique film and to play a very interesting and well-written character. The scenes between Kartik Aaryan and Ravi Kishan are expected to be something to watch out for.

Kartik Aaryan’s Ichadaari Naag character

In ‘Naagzilla’, Kartik takes on the character of Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, a shape-shifting Ichadaari Naag. His first look poster debuted back in April 2025. Karan Johar unveiled the motion poster then, adding the caption, “Insanon wali picharein toh bahut dekh li, ab dekho naagon wali pichchar! #NaagZilla – Naag lok ka pehla kaand… Funnn phailaane aa raha hai – Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand… Naag Panchami par aapke nazdeeki Sssssinemas mein – 14 August 2026 ko!”.

Production and release details

‘Naagzilla’, backed by producers Karan Johar, Mahaveer Jain, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and Sujit Jain, aims to deliver a unique mix of fantasy, folklore, and high-energy entertainment. Few specifics on the storyline have surfaced yet. Slated for theaters on August 14 this year, the Kartik Aaryan-led project is in active production, with reports indicating filming continues and could extend a few more months; the team prefers not to rush, potentially pushing back the date slightly.
