Trump’s Doomsday E-4B plane sighted in Washington, Los Angeles, days after US captured Maduro

Trump's Doomsday E-4B plane sighted in Washington, Los Angeles, days after US captured Maduro

Boeing E-4B Nightwatch, known as the Doomsday Plane, has been sighted in Washington, days after US captured Nicolas Maduro and his wife from the Venezuelan military camp. According to reports, the Doomsday Plane was moved to Camp Spring, which is around 25 minutes away from the White House. Then it flew to Los Angeles with Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.”This aircraft is basically a flying command center built to keep the US. government running during a worst-case crisis, even if ground systems are hit. No official reason has been given for the flight, but sightings like this are very rare and always set off the rumor mill fast,” Internet personality Mario Nawfal posted.

On January 6, the E-4B flew from Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska, to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, just outside DC. There has been no official statement issued on the movement of the Doomsday Plane. It flew to Los Angeles, according to flight trackers. Some reports claimed that it was Hegseth’s routine visit to Los Angeles where he went to administer oaths to 40 recruits at the Military Entrance Processing Station and five California National Guardsmen.

What is the Doomsday Plane?

The E-4B is designed for emergencies. Unlike Air Force One, which is only meant for the president, the E-4B can act as the headquarters of the administration if Washington DC or ground command centers are destroyed or unusable. It allows the president and his cabinet secretaries to run the government from the air. Up to 110 people can be on board at the same time. The E-4B can remain airborne for 12 hours without refueling, and many hours more after fuel. The US Air Force operates four E-4B Nightwatch aircraft and at least one remains on alert at all times. The E-4B has only been used once after the 9/11 terror attack. A “doomsday” aircraft was activated and took off as a flying command center to ensure the US government’s ability to act.Amid tension with Venezuela, the US also got involved in the Iran protests as the Trump administration said it is closely watching the protests. Trump and US officials publicly warned Iran not to kill protesters. Iran Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei condemned Trump and said his hands are stained with the blood of Iranians, and said the crackdown on protesters would continue.
