Thalapathy Vijay enjoys a massive fan following in the state of Tamil Nadu and around the globe. The actor who is retiring from films to become a full-time politician recently held a meeting in Madurai. Fans and his admirers arrived for the gathering in massive numbers. Seeing the overwhelming love from the fans, the actor got emotional on stage.

Thalapathy Vijay gets emotional

Vijay hosted the event to talk about his future after movies. Now, the pictures and videos from the huge gathering are going viral on the internet. In one of the videos, the Tamil superstar looked absolutely overwhelmed by the outpouring of love at the event. His parents, SA Chandrasekhar and Shoba, were also present on the stage at that time. They looked proud of their son and gave him a sweet hug. The actor almost broke down in happiness at that moment. Fans called it a “wholesome” moment.Watch the video here. The actor was trending on X (formerly Twitter) after his massive gathering.

Thalapathy Vijay’s final project, ‘Jana Nayagan’

Thalapathy Vijay announced his next film, ‘Jana Nayagan’, as the final project. Apart from Vijay, the film also stars Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, and Priyamani. Directed by H. Vinoth, the film is set to release in theaters in January 2026.His previous project was the Venkat Prabhu-directed ‘The GOAT’. The film hit the cinemas on September 5, 2024. Also, last year, he announced that he will be contesting the 2026 assembly elections.
