New Delhi: Kia India on Thursday announced prices of the all-new Seltos, with the mid-size SUV starting at ₹10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The second-generation Seltos is larger, features new technology and safety upgrades, and is aimed at strengthening the company’s position in the highly competitive mid-SUV segment.

The new Seltos is underpinned by Kia’s global K3 platform, making its India debut. The SUV is longer at 4,460 mm, wider at 1,830 mm and has a wheelbase of 2,690 mm, translating into improved cabin space and road presence.

With aggressive pricing and a wide range of variants, the all-new Seltos will compete with models such as the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.

“The all-new Kia Seltos marks a strong evolution of a nameplate that has shaped Kia’s journey in India. With this generation, our focus is on raising standards across space, safety and technology, while offering value to customers,” said Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director and CEO, Kia India.

Features

The model adopts Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy, featuring the new Digital Tiger Face, automatic streamline door handles and Ice Cube LED projector headlamps. It is offered in 10 monotone colour options, including two new shades — Morning Haze and Magma Red.

Inside, the Seltos features a 75.18 cm (30-inch) panoramic display panel, integrating the infotainment and digital instrument cluster, along with a Bose eight-speaker audio system. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are offered, along with features such as a smart key proximity unlock function, ventilated front seats, a 10-way power driver seat with memory and a panoramic sunroof on higher variants.

On the safety front, the SUV comes with a 24-standard safety package, including six airbags, ABS and hill-start assist, along with Level-2 ADAS offering 21 driver assistance features.

The all-new Seltos is available with three engine options — Smartstream G1.5 petrol, Smartstream G1.5 T-GDI petrol and a 1.5-litre CRDi VGT diesel engine. Transmission options include 6-speed manual, iMT, IVT, 7-speed DCT and 6-speed automatic.

Variants

The model is offered in four core trims — HTE, HTK, HTX and GTX/X-Line — along with optional packs focused on convenience, premium features, ADAS and design enhancements.

Production of the all-new Seltos is underway at Kia’s Anantapur plant. Kia said deliveries will be supported by a planned production ramp-up. The company also highlighted its ownership programmes, including extended warranty options of up to seven years and roadside assistance coverage of up to eight years.

Kia India currently operates 821 touchpoints across 369 cities in the country.
