She added candidly, “2025 has been a difficult year for us, our children and our families… But we went through it, heads held high, laughing and holding on.”

‘We cried a lot, we prayed’

In her note, Kareena spoke about resilience and the lessons the year taught them. “We cried a lot, we prayed and now we are here,” she wrote, adding that 2025 reminded her that “human nature is fearless, love will conquer all, and that children are braver than we think.”Expressing gratitude to those who stood by them during the difficult phase, the actor wrote, “We want to thank our fans, our friends, and everyone who stood by us and continues to support us… and above all, the lord almighty.”

‘Entering 2026 with renewed fire’

Looking ahead, Kareena said the family is stepping into the new year with gratitude and optimism. “We are entering 2026 with a renewed fire in our bellies, immense gratitude and positivity, and an undying passion for what we do best… the movies,” she wrote, signing off with her signature phrase, “CHAR DI KALA. Happy New Year, everyone!”

Saif Ali Khan on the night of the attack

Kareena’s reflection comes months after a traumatic incident in January 2025, when Saif Ali Khan was attacked by a burglar at their residence and hospitalised for nearly 10 days with multiple stab wounds and a spinal injury.Speaking about the incident for the first time on Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle, Saif recalled how the night unfolded. “We had just gone to sleep… it was around 2 o’clock in the morning. Kareena came back, we had a small chat, and then we went to sleep,” he said.He revealed that chaos broke out when their maid rushed in. “She said that somebody was there in Jeh’s room and asking for money. I barged into Jeh’s room in the dark, and I saw this guy standing over his bed with a knife.”

‘He had already cut Jeh on his hand’

Saif shared that the attacker had already injured their younger son Jeh and the nanny. “While poking the knife at Jeh and the nanny, he had already slightly cut Jeh on his hand and had also hurt the nanny,” the actor said.Describing the confrontation, Saif added, “I thought he was smaller than me, so I jumped on him. Jeh later told me it was a big mistake. He had two knives and started slashing all over me.”

‘There was blood everywhere’

Recalling the most frightening moment, Saif said, “I suddenly felt this thump in my back… At that point, he had cut me everywhere — my neck and my back — and there was blood everywhere.”He also spoke about son Taimur witnessing the aftermath. “Taimur looked at me and said, ‘Oh my God.’ He thought I was probably going to die. I told him, ‘I’m not going to die. I’m fine.’”

Ringing in the New Year together

Currently, Kareena and Saif are on a family holiday with sons Taimur and Jeh, where they will ring in the New Year together. The actress has been sharing glimpses from their vacation on social media, offering a calmer, happier note as the family steps into 2026. Go to Source
