In a major development from Rajasthan, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken strict action against Neerja Modi School in Jaipur following a student death case. CBSE has announced the cancellation of the school’s affiliation and stated that a financial penalty will also be imposed on the institution. According to CBSE, students of Classes 10 and 12 will be allowed to appear for the ongoing board examinations this year to ensure their academic future is not affected. However, once the examinations conclude, the school’s recognition will stand cancelled. The decision comes after serious concerns were raised regarding the incident involving a student at the school. CBSE said the action was taken after reviewing the matter thoroughly and in line with its regulations. The move has sparked discussions on student safety, accountability of private schools, and the responsibility of educational institutions.
