‘Physiognomy is real’: Far-right influencers Nick Fuentes and Clavicular swoon over Gavin Newsom’s looks

California Governor Gavin Newsom has apparently crossed a political Rubicon few saw coming: he’s become a heartthrob on the far right — not for his policies, but for his jawline. In a plot twist that feels less West Wing and more American Psycho, fringe extremists are setting ideology aside to swoon over cheekbones, declaring that in the culture wars of 2025, aesthetics might just beat allegiance, New York Post reported.Newsom drew praise from far-right podcaster Nick Fuentes for his looks. Fuentes, described as a virulent antisemite and a 27-year-old self-proclaimed virgin incel who denied being gay, said he would vote for the California Democrat “100x” in a hypothetical matchup with veep JD Vance because Newsom is “handsome” and Vance is a “fat subhuman.”“Physiognomy is real. Post physique, its handsome Thursday. I only believe in beauty and aesthetics!!” Fuentes wrote. Fuentes was not the only figure on the Gen Z fringe to praise Newsom, the report said.Fuentes, who praised Hitler and made remarks about Second Lady Usha Vance’s Indian American heritage, echoed comments from the controversial “looksmaxxing” streamer Clavicular, who was banned from the Kick platform after reportedly running someone over with a Cybertruck on Christmas eve.“JD Vance is subhuman and Gavin Newsom mogs,” Clavicular, whose real name Braden Peters, said in an interview with right-wing podcaster Michael Knowles. “Mogs” was described as Gen Z slang for outshining or dominating someone.Clavicular said he would vote for “6 foot 3 Chad” Newsom over “obese” Vance.Knowles called Newsom the “worst governor in the country,” and described him as a “derelict liar, and degenerate.”“But he is good looking. He kind of looks like Patrick Bateman,” Knowles said.
