How did Taylor and Travis’ love story begin?

How did Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's love story begin? Let's take a look at the bracelet, boombox and first date - Read inside

Taylor Swift does make the whole room shimmer when she walks in for a podcast, casually surpassing and breaking records. The 35-year-old singer managed to give easter eggs for her upcoming album ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’ and talk about her sourdough obsession in just two hours. What caught the attention of the fans was her narrating the whole ‘Travis Kelce’ phenomenon of her life, and the support they have for each other. Let’s take a look at how Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce actually started dating, despite many people thinking that it was such a weird pair.During the stunning episode of the ‘New Heights’ podcast with the Kelce brothers, Swift and Kelce discussed the entire story of how they happened to be together and who played the matchmaking roles in their lives. While the NFL star gave credit to The Eras Tour, Swift dedicated the cupid hat to her dad, Scott Swift, as well as the Kansas City Chiefs coach, “Andy [Reid] was vouching for you,” according to People.

How did it all start?

Kelce attended the concert in July 2023, watching the singer from a private box while sharing the famous friendship bracelets with fellow concertgoers. During the ‘New Heights’ podcast in the same month, Travis said, “I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs she sings, so I was a little b***hurt that I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” adding that his bracelet had his phone number on it.

Travis Kelce and his efforts at the concert

Taylor quipped he threw a ‘Man-trum’ after not getting a chance to meet her at the concert. Furthermore, she chronicled that Kelce did not even try to reach her management for a meet and greet session. “He thought that because he knows the elevator lady, that he could talk to her about just getting down to my dressing room,” she said. The ‘Midnight Rain’ singer compared his grand efforts to the ‘Say Anything’ film. Mocking the athlete, she said, “[It’s like] he was standing outside of my window with a boombox saying, ‘I want to date you! Do you want to go on a date with me? I made you a friendship bracelet! Do you want to date me?”

The grand gestures and the first date

Continuing the narration, Swift claimed that this is what she had wanted her whole life, and has been writing songs about such grand gestures since she was a teenager. Talking about their first date, Taylor recalled how clueless she was about the NFL and how he felt about playing against his brother, Jason Kelce. However, Travis answered the questions without taking any offence.
