‘Vrusshabha’ BO day 3: Mohanlal film crosses Rs 1 crore

'Vrusshabha' box office collections day 3: Mohanlal film crosses Rs 1 crore; Collections drop further

Mohanlal’s pan-Indian film ‘Vrusshabha’ is struggling at the box office, with a weak opening and continued low collections. Early estimates place its three-day India net collection at approximately Rs 1.11 crore. Poor occupancy across languages, particularly in Malayalam and Hindi, indicates a challenging run for the film, with audience reactions leaning towards negative.

Mohanlal’s pan Indian film ‘Vrusshabha’ is finding it hard to stay strong at the box office. After a dull opening the film continued its weak run on day three. As per early estimates the movie earned around Rs 19 lakhs India net on its third day across all languages. With this the total collection for three days now stands at around Rs 1.11 crore.According to the Sacnilk website, the film had already earned about Rs 92 lakhs in its first two days. These numbers show that the film is slowly moving towards a flop status.

Day wise collection details

On day one which was Thursday the film collected Rs 60 lakh India net. Malayalam version contributed the most. Hindi Telugu and Kannada numbers stayed very low. On day two which was Friday the film saw a sharp drop and collected Rs 32 lakhs. Day three collections fell even more.

Low occupancy across languages

Occupancy numbers also paint a dull picture. In Malayalam the overall occupancy on Saturday was just 9.05 percent. Morning shows saw very low turnout. Night shows were slightly better but still weak. Hindi occupancy was also poor with an overall of 10.52 percent. Even evening shows failed to pull big crowds. The film is directed by Nanda Kishore and stars Mohanlal, Ragini Dwivedi, Nayan Sarika, Mohammad Ajum Ali, Ramachandra Raju and Neha Saxena.

What viewers are saying

Social media reactions are mixed but mostly negative. One viewer wrote,”There are some movies which are style over substance and there are movies (usually low budget or ‘artsy’) which will be substance without style or grandeur. This is a movie without style (sloppy CGI, impassionate or careless costume and set design, low effort screenplay) and no substance ( poor or below average writing and dialogues, very little character development )”DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
