Lara Trump reveals who will take Karoline Leavitt's position when she takes maternity leave; White House spokesperson approves

Karoline Leavitt announced that she was expecting her second child, a baby girl due in May 2026. As soon as the announcement dropped a day after Christmas, speculations are going on as to who will take the position as the White House spokesperson and the press secretary whe Karoline takes her time off. President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump solved the mystery on Fox News as she said nobody will be taking Leavitt’s position, as Leavitt is not going anywhere. “Karoline Leavitt is a machine. She’s incredible. And she’s going nowhere. I have seen stories of people saying who’s next in line. Nobody is next in line. It’s Karoline. She can do everything,” Lara Trump said. “She did this, by the way, during the Trump campaign. She was pregnant and delivered her son Niko, and was back to work within a couple of days, on television fighting to ensure that President Trump got elected,” Lara said, adding that President Trump loves babies and the White House fosters a pro-family culture. Lara said that once White House chief of staff Susie Wiles said White House meetings are scheduled in a way that parents can go to drop their children off at schools. Lara also said that people can look forward to Karoline Leavitt schooling fake news media while she’s probably eight or nine months pregnant.”Thank you Lara!” Karoline reacted to a video of Lara’s interview. “My husband and I are thrilled to grow our family and can’t wait to watch our son become a big brother,” she wrote in an Instagram post showing her baby bump in front of a Christmas tree. “My heart is overflowing with gratitude to God for the blessing of motherhood, which I truly believe is the closest thing to Heaven on Earth.”

Karoline Leavitt and her husband

The 32-year age gap between Karoline Leavitt, 28 and her husband Nicholas Riccio, 60, was again in the news after Karoline announced her pregnancy. Another controversy that started after Karoline’s announcement was that people pointed out that she’s taking cosmetic fillers — as apparently seen in Vanity Fair photo — during pregnancy.
