Kim Jong Kook on his married life: ‘We try to respect the different lives we’ve lived’

Recently, Kim Jong Kook, the charismatic entertainer, shed light on his blissful married existence. He expressed deep appreciation for his wife’s uniqueness, sharing that their life feels complete without children at the moment. He humorously connected with a listener’s dilemma of having a miserly spouse, admitting to his own tight-fisted ways.

Famed TV star and singer Kim Jong Kook had made headlines earlier this year after he announced that he was getting married. Since then, he has been quite secretive about his wife, whom he revealed was a non-celebrity, and had requested him for the privacy, which he respected. In a recent interview, the star shared a glimpse into his life as a married man with fans.

While appearing on the variety show ‘Park Jang-dae-so’, Kim Jong Kook got candid about his life as a married man. The variety show focuses on taking people’s calls and helping them solve their problems. Kim Jong-un starred as a guest on one of their recent episodes and became that day’s ‘Call Solver.’

During one of the segments of the show, one of the co-hosts asked Jong Kook about how his married life has been treating him, and whether the couple fights over tidying the house. The singer candidly opened up and shared that he likes it a lot, adding that, “Since I don’t have children yet with my younger wife, it’s not much different from before marriage, and I like it. I don’t nag much. We try to respect the different lives we’ve lived. If something is uncomfortable, I just fix it myself.”

Kim Jong Kook relates to a frugal husband

The show hosts receive another call from a worried pregnant wife, who shared how her frugal husband’s habits stress her out. While Jong Kook agreed with the husband when he revealed that he often uses worn-out socks and reuses wet wipes to save money and resources, he also warned that the couple should communicate properly. He also revealed one of his own similar habits to the couple and added that, “I use razors until my face hurts and wear underwear for over 10 years.” He also added that the couple should be understanding of one another, and that the husband should not hold back when it comes to their baby.Jong Kook also added, “Everything’s good, but I hope you don’t skimp too much on preparing for the baby. The husband’s savings could stress the pregnant wife, so they should communicate well.”
