Karnataka bus fire

CHITRADURGA/BENGALURU: Nothing seemed amiss to Sachin (25), driving a private bus with 43 pre-university students on board, when a sleeper bus overtook him along the highway in Karnataka’s Chitradurga district early Thursday. “I saw the bus overtake mine. Everything looked normal,” he recalled. “But within seconds, the scene outside my windscreen turned horrific.” A container truck suddenly jumped the median and ploughed straight into the sleeper bus. Despite efforts, the front of his bus clipped the burning sleeper bus before veering off the road and landing near a ditch. The impact shattered the windscreen leaving Sachin bleeding from a serious head injury.
