NEW DELHI: With lakhs of students preparing for one of India’s most competitive entrance examinations, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the final syllabus for NEET (UG) 2026, asking aspirants to align their preparation strictly with the updated curriculum to avoid confusion and misinformation and be able to deliver their best. The revised syllabus for the 2026–27 academic session has been uploaded on the commission’s website and medical colleges, schools, coaching institutes and state authorities have been advised to ensure that teaching material and guidance provided to students are in line with it. Officials said the updated syllabus clearly lays out unit-wise coverage in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, largely based on senior secondary-level coursework, to bring about greater uniformity and transparency. The commission has also asked medical colleges and institutions to take note of the revised syllabus while preparing academic resources and outreach programmes for prospective students.
