‘Dhurandhar’, which hit theatres on December 5, has been ruling the box office ever since its release. Although the film opened to mixed reactions on day one, it soon transformed into a full-blown juggernaut, smashing records and dominating conversations online. Several scenes and songs from the film went viral, further fuelling its momentum. Such a trend is seldom seen at the box office. As the film entered its third week, collections began on a slightly slower note, hinting at a gradual dip. On day 15 (Friday), it collected Rs 22.5 crore. The third Saturday witnessed a sharp jump of nearly 52 percent, bringing in Rs 34.25 crore, while Sunday added another Rs 38.50 crore — an impressive figure for a third weekend.

‘Dhurandhar’: The Film That Forced Indian Cinema To Change

With these numbers, ‘Dhurandhar’ achieved yet another landmark by becoming the highest-grossing film in its third weekend, comfortably surpassing ‘Chhaava’. The Vicky Kaushal starrer had earned Rs 60.10 crore in its third weekend, whereas ‘Dhurandhar’ amassed around Rs 72 crore. On Monday, day 18 of its run, the film collected Rs 16 crore by evening. Tuesday, day 19, is expected to see a further drop, with collections standing at Rs 2.75 crore till afternoon. The total domestic collection in India has now reached Rs 575 crore.As far as the worldwide box office is concerned, the film has officially entered the Rs 900 crore club globally within just 18 days, a phenomenal achievement. It has also gone past the worldwide lifetime collections of ‘Stree 2’ and ‘Baahubali 2’. With this, it has also crossed that worldwide box office of ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’and became the highest grosser of 2025.
