Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif have been basking in the joy of becoming parents to their first child, a baby boy. The couple welcomed their son on November 7, 2025, and have been cherishing every moment of their new journey together. Recently, Vicky made his first appearance outside Mumbai after the birth of his child, attending an event in Delhi, where he spoke candidly about fatherhood and life as a new dad.

‘I can’t express what it means to be a father’

At the event, Vicky was asked whether, after acing both acting and dancing, he had also mastered changing diapers. Laughing at the question, the actor told NDTV, “I am better at changing diapers than acting. I’d just like to say that.”Opening up about the emotional shift that comes with fatherhood, Vicky admitted that stepping out of the city so soon after his son’s birth was not easy. “It’s very tough (to leave the city after becoming a father). But one day when he watches this, he’ll be proud of his dad. I can’t express in words what it means to be a father,” he shared.

Celebrating four years of marriage, sleep-deprived but grateful

Vicky and Katrina recently completed four years of marital bliss. On December 9, Vicky took to Instagram to mark the occasion with a sweet selfie featuring Katrina. While Vicky appeared casually dressed, Katrina kept it natural in a no-makeup look. Acknowledging their new reality as parents, Vicky captioned the post, “Celebrating today… blissful, grateful and sleep deprived. Happy 4 to us,” with a special nod to their newborn son.The couple tied the knot on December 9, 2021, in an intimate ceremony at Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan.

Vicky Kaushal was last seen in Chhaava, where he portrayed Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
