J&K AAP MLA PSA case: HC slates Dec 27 hearing date

JAMMU: The legal team of detained Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Mehraj Malik concluded its arguments Thursday in the high court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, which listed Dec 27 as the next hearing date.Malik, J&K’s lone AAP MLA, has several cases registered against him, including one under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) for allegedly disturbing public order. He is presently lodged in Kathua jail.He had filed a habeas corpus petition in the high court on Sept 24 challenging his detention and seeking Rs 5 crore as compensation.
