A major road accident occurred on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, due to dense fog during the early hours of the morning. Low visibility led to a chain collision involving eight buses and three cars near the 127th milestone. Several vehicles caught fire after the impact, with some completely gutted, highlighting the severity of the crash. Four passengers lost their lives on the spot, while around 25 others were injured and rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. Rescue operations were immediately launched, and stranded passengers were transported to their destinations using government vehicles. Authorities have directed hospitals to provide the best possible medical care and issued instructions to enforce speed control on highways during foggy conditions, urging travelers to exercise extreme caution in winter.
