In a major breakthrough, the Luthra brothers, accused in the deadly Goa nightclub fire case, are being brought back to India from Thailand, with full credit going to Indian investigating agencies. Acting swiftly, authorities suspended their passports and secured a Blue Corner Notice, preventing their escape to another country. The accused were detained in time and will land at Delhi’s international airport at 1:45 PM, where the Goa Police will formally arrest them as per standard procedure. After medical examination, they will be produced before the Patiala House Court to seek transit remand and then taken to Goa for further investigation. The case involves serious allegations of mismanagement and safety violations at the nightclub, where 25 lives were lost. Police say strong evidence has been collected and more arrests are possible.
