MAGA claims Republican Club leader Ellla Cook was Brown University shooting target; blames Kash Patel for the release of Benjamin Erickson

MAGA claims Republican Club leader Ellla Cook was Brown University shooting target; blames Kash Patel for the release of Benjamin Erickson

MAGA turned the heat on FBI director Kash Patel after officials acknowledged that the person of interst that they took into custody for the Brown University shooting was not the shooter, and the real gunman was still at large. Benjamin Erickson, the man initially taken into custody at a Hampton Inn hotel near Brown University, was not the guy, law enforcement officials confirmed. “This is what these investigations look like. Sometimes you head in one direction, sometimes you regroup and go in another,” Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha said adding that Erickson was being released as the investigation now points to a different direction.

Who was the target of the Brown University shooting? MAGA says it was Ella Cook

Ella Cook, one of the individuals killed in th Brown University shooting, was the vice president of the Republican Club of the Brown University and MAGA said she was the target because of her Conservative ideas. “Everyone at Brown who knew Ella, regardless of their politics, found her to be friendly and kind. My thoughts are with Ella’s family. Ella was a promising young leader taken too soon,” Alex Shieh wrote on X. Sheih is the same person who dropped out of the university last semester after he came under fire for sending a DOGE-inspired email to thousands of administrators at the school. White House paid tribute to Ella Cook as press secretary Karoline Leavitt posted a message on X. “There are no words. Thinking of her family and friends, especially her parents. God please bless them,” the message read.

Benjamin Erickson was picked up by FBI, released

Providence Police passed the buck on the FBI and said FBI arrested Benjamin Erickson whose name was not released by law enforcement, as he was just a person of interest. Indicating that the FBI leaked the name, the local police said the FBI was dealing with that person.
