‘Person of Interest’ in Brown University shooting arrested at a hotel 13 hours after Trump posted about it and never deleted

'Person of Interest' in Brown University shooting arrested at a hotel 13 hours after Trump posted about it and never deleted

The ‘person of interest’ in the Brown University shooting was taken into custody at 3.45 am, Rhode Island enforcement officials confirmed at an early morning briefing Sunday. But this came about 13 hours after President Donald Trump announced that the suspect was in custody. It was a misfire, probably a wrong arrest, or an announcement from the law enforcement before time. Trump was informed about the mistake and he posted that the suspect was NOT in custody. The law enforcement Sunday morning was cautious and referred to the individual arrested as ‘person of interest’ and not the ‘suspect’. They also put a lid on all details about the person. It’s not yet known how the person was arrested but there was a heavy police activity overnight at a hotel in Providence, Rhode Island. Law enforcement officials at the scene said the hotel was connected to the shooting. CNN confirmed that the person was taken into custody at a hotel.

What we know about the person of interest

Nothing. And that led to a major question on the efficiency of the law enforcement that even over 13 hours after the incident, the law enforcement remains in the dark about what happened at Brown University. “Police say that a “person of interest” is in custody for the Brown University mass shooting but refuse to provide the age, gender, race or motive of the suspect. This is complete bulls**t and what happens when DEI and incompetence permeates law enforcement,” one wrote on social media. The law enforcement earlier released a video of the suspect and though they did not confirm that they had the same person in custody, it is widely believed that they have got the man in custody as officials said the threat in Rhode Island is now over. The shooter targeted one classroom where a Principles of Economics final exam review session was taking place, the class’ professor Rachel Friedberg confirmed. It is not yet know whether the shooter is a student.
