Khaleda critical, on ventilator support

BNP chairperson and former Bangladesh PM Khaleda Zia is on ventilator support and receiving intensive care for multiple serious complications, according to updates shared on Thursday. She remains in critical condition at the Dhaka-based Evercare Hospital, where a medical board is overseeing her treatment. Zia’s son Tarique Rahman, 60, who has been living in self-exile in London for 17 years, will return to the country on Dec 25, BNP said on Friday. “We are pleased to announce that our acting chairman Tarique Rahman will return to Dhaka on Dec 25,” a senior BNP functionary said.With PTI inputs
