Erika Kirk responds to 'some people' saying Charlie Kirk 'deserved to die': 'Tell that to my 3-year-old daughter...'

In an interview with CBS, Erika Kirk, the wife of the slain conservative figure, spoke about how some people in the country justified Charlie Kirk’s assassination, saying the MAGA activist “deserved” to die for his controversial views. Some even claimed that Charlie was so hateful that he “had it coming.”When the interviewer asked Erika what she wanted to say to those people, the widow broke down. She said: “You’re sick. He’s a human being. You think he deserved that? Tell that to my 3-year-old daughter.”After a brief pause, Erika said: “You want to watch, in high resolution, the video of my husband being murdered? And laugh? She added: “There is something very sick in your soul, and I pray God saves you. I pray. The internet in this world has dehumanized us.”

Charlie Kirk’s controversial political stance

Charlie Kirk was an avid right-winger evangelist who had a hardline stance on sensitive issues like gender politics, racial violence, abortion, religion, and even gun rights. He was well respected in Republican circles, but was not liked much in progressive and left-wing groups. He was the founder of Turning Point USA before being fatally shot in September during a college debate. Kirk used to specialise in debates with university students and shared numerous question-answer sessions with them. He was hated by many people who were against his “propaganda,” but even so, most social media users did not agree that the way he died was “justified.”Erika Kirk, in her first public speech after Kirk’s death, said: “We are heartbroken by the loss of Charlie. His passion for advocating for gun rights and conservative values inspired so many, and his dedication to his community will never be forgotten. Today, we honour his legacy by remembering his courage, his voice, and the impact he had on all of us. While we mourn, we also commit to continuing the work he believed in, keeping his vision alive in our hearts and actions.”
