The recall is due to a suspected issue in the fuel level indicator and warning light within the speedometer assembly.Maruti Suzuki India Ltd on Friday announced the recall of 39,506 units of the Grand Vitara manufactured between December 9, 2024 and April 29, 2025.
The company said the recall is due to a suspected issue in the fuel level indicator and warning light within the speedometer assembly, which may not accurately show the fuel status.
According to the company’s statement, owners of the affected vehicles will receive communication from Maruti Suzuki’s authorised dealer workshops. The vehicles will be inspected and the faulty part will be replaced free of cost.
In early 2024, about 16,000 units of Wagon R and Baleno models were recalled due to a potential defect in the fuel pump motor that could cause engine stalling.
