Sophie says Justin Trudeau is a great father and she’s not bothered about any gossip.
Former Canadian PM Justin Trudeau’s ex-wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau said Justin’s public affair with Katy Perry does not affect her as she chose not to be triggered. In a podcast with Canadian businesswoman Arlene Dickinson, Sophie said she learned to “listen to the music, not the noise”. Sophie did not mention Katy Perry’s name but the suggestion was clear as Dickinson asked her how she stays cool amid much public glare. Sophie said she is aware that a lot of “public stuff affects us” and that “public stuff out there can be triggers”. “How you react to stuff is your decision. The woman I want to become through this is my decision,” she said adding that getting triggered will only increase stress levels.When Sophie was asked about her journey as a single mom, she said she’s not and credited Justin for paying attention to the family, the kids that they shared.

“I can’t say I’m a single mom because we have raised these kids together,” she said. “We call each other up. We’ll text each other … We will really try to build cohesion, so that the kids feel that cohesion … We have separate lives, but we have one family life, right?” Sophie said, explaining how the present arrangement between them is. Sophie did not discuss her new relationship with Ottawa pediatric surgeon Dr Marcos Bettolli after she and Justin got divorced in 2023, ending their 18-year marriage. Justin Trudeau is dating Katy Perry and they made it almost official as they were spotted together at Katy Perry’s birthday party hand-in-hand. Before that, they were seen kissing on a yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara. Neither of them has issues any statement on their relationship but people close to them insist that they are indeed seeing each other and are quite serious, but do not want to make any announcement as of now.
