Big B to get security cover over threats from Khalistani group?

Amitabh Bachchan to get security cover over threats from Khalistani group after episode with Diljit Dosanjh? - Report

In light of Amitabh Bachchan’s appearance with Diljit Dosanjh on KBC, security forces are investigating threats issued by a disbanded Khalistani group. At the same time, Diljit’s scheduled performance in Melbourne is feeling the pressure, with the threat level spiking ahead of planned protest demonstrations and a troubling video from the group’s chief, fueling fears of possible conflict.

After Diljit Dosanjh touched Amitabh Bachchan’s feet during an episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 17’, a Khalistani group issued threats to the singer as well as the megastar. The banned group, Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), condemned Diljit’s gesture towards Big B. Now, central agencies are checking the security assessment for the megastar.

Amitabh Bachchan’s security is under review

According to the CNN-News18 report, the central agencies are fearing an attempt on Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan. Reportedly, they are reviewing the threats. A source told the publication, “Some threats to Bachchan are under assessment by central agencies, who say that they are in connection with his recent meeting with Dosanjh, according to these sources.”

Diljit Dosanjh Faces Khalistani Fury: Big B Gesture Sparks Outrage Ahead of Australia Concert Show

Diljit Dosanjh’s Melbourne concert faces threat

On the other hand, Australian authorities have stated that they have elevated the Melbourne threat to level 2 ahead of Diljit’s concert in the country. This action was taken after calls for shutdown rallies and a direct video message from SFJ leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. It was reported that “Sources called this a calibrated influence operation rather than spontaneous outrage.”As per the reports, the banned group has been using hashtags to spread and incite violence. They are posting content related to the 1984 riots.According to the earlier report, Melbourne police and intelligence agencies raised concerns over Diljit’s AURA 2025 concert, which is scheduled for November 1. The agency reports stated that the group is trying to target the high-profile event.

The controversy

As per the group, Diljit insulted the victims of the 1984 anti-Sikh violence, which took place after former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s assassination. As per the group, at that time, Big B allegedly used the phrase “Khoon Ka Badla Khoon (Blood for Blood)”. According to the group, the actor’s words “unleashed violence in which over 30,000 Sikh men, women, and children were killed across India.”
